When I shop, I go out and look for the best product out there. In this case, something to treat my lips. I want a product that can prevent blisters, chapped lips, and can work with a lipstick or lip stain. If you are like me, than look no further. I am posting my Good, Better, Best products in this category.

Change that bar of soap to a milder gentler cleanser and shower gel for all over skin hydration. Soap can irritate dry skin conditions. In Ayurveda we use ground oatmeal or chickpea flour mixed with a little milk as a cleanser. In winter you can add a few drops of aloe vera or sesame oil.

For lip balm, the proportions you need are 2:1 solids to liquids. The beeswax is a solid and all of the other ingredients are liquid. I like to use castor oil because if gives a nice gloss to the lips. Honey adds a bit of sweetener, and the vitamin E contains antioxidants and will extend the shelf life of your balm. The essential oils listed are all known for healing properties. In particular, myrrh is renown for mouth care.
